The Hound dogs group

Hound dogs

Hound dogs are one of the oldest groups of dogs, bred to help their human masters track down and hunt animals. Within the group of hound dogs, there are sighthounds that track by sight, and scenthounds that track by scent. Some hounds track by both scent and sight, while some don’t even like to go hunting at all. Common for all the hound dogs are their independence when it comes to hunting, they would lead as they could not wait for directions from their masters
